Eight killed, 28 injured in NW China traffic accident

At least eight people were killed and 28 others injured in a vehicle collision in Qinghai Province on Saturday, the local traffic authorities said Sunday, Xinhua reported.
   The accident occurred at noon when a truck hit the rear of a passenger bus at a section of the No.109 national highway. The bus overturned, leaving seven dead on the spot and 29 others injured.
   One of the injured died later on the way to the hospital.
   Seven people received serious brain, bone, liver and chest injuries but were in stable condition after emergency treatment, said Sui Tianen, a doctor with the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University said.
