A total of 190 policemen died in terror incidents in 2009 in Pakistan's the North West Frontier Province (NWFP), provincial police chief said, Xinhua reported.
On his visit to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, the NWFP capital, Inspector General Malik Naveed said that terrorists would never demoralize police through such coward activities.
The NWFP police chief inquired about the health of injured policemen admitted in the hospital and said that police are ready to give sacrifices for public as well as Pakistan's existence.
Naveed said that they would install 35 scanners on entry and exit routes of the city.
He also said that some foreign actors were sponsoring terrorists in the country.
