At least 12 people have been killed and about 20 injured in two bomb explosions near a police compound in north-western Pakistan, officials say, BBC reported.
The blasts happened in quick succession in the town of Bannu, some 260km (160 miles) south-west of Islamabad.
Unconfirmed reports say the blasts were caused by suicide bombers.
On Wednesday, a suicide bomber killed at least 12 people in the north-western Khyber tribal area. Most of the victims were police officers.
The two bombs went off just minutes apart near the Bannu training centre on Thursday evening, officials said. At least six police officers were among those killed in the blasts.
"The first attack took place outside the main gate of the barracks," a local police official told the BBC.
He said that soon after the first blast, Bannu's police chief Iqbal Marwat had arrived to inspect the scene in his car.
"Seconds after he got out of the car, an explosion took place near his vehicle," the official said, adding that Mr Marwat was one of about 20 injured in the explosions.
Police later cordoned off the area.
No group has claimed responsibility for the blasts.
The Pakistani Taliban has recently carried a series of attacks in the volatile region in response to last year's major offensive by government forces.
