At least eight people were killed and 33 injured in a blast Saturday at a German bakery in the southern Indian town of Pune, dpa reported.
Pune police said it appeared to be a bomb blast but this had not yet been confirmed, NDTV news channel reported.
Further details were not immediately given as police began their investigation into the blast.
