At least six people are dead and about 20 are missing after two landslides buried more than 10 homes in northwest China's Shaanxi Province and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, local authorities said on Wednesday, Xinhua reported.
The landslide in Shaanxi occurred at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday in Zizhou county of Yulin city.
As of 10:40 a.m., a total of 20 buried villagers had been rescued. Ten injured were taken to hospital, where three died.
Rescue efforts are continuing.
Another landslide in Xinjiang occurred at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Kazak Autonomous Prefecture of Ili. The landslide buried one home and three people died at the scene.
