The UN Human Rights Council on Friday denounced the Syrian regime for the massacre in Houla and ordered international investigators to collect evidence for possible future criminal proceedings, DPA reported.
A wide majority of 41 countries voted for a resolution in Geneva that "condemns in the strongest possible terms such an outrageous use of force against the civilian population," which "may amount to crimes against humanity."
Only China, Cuba and Russia voted against the text.
The investigation should "preserve the evidence of crimes for possible future criminal prosecutions or a future justice process," the council said in its decision.
