At least nine people were killed in an avalanche on a mountain in north-western Nepal on Sunday, police said, reported dpa.
A German tourist and a Nepali were among those killed in the avalanche at a height of some 7,000 metres in the Mount Manaslu region, according to police.
Four people went missing, while 12 people were rescued.
The rescue operation involving helicopters was being hampered by poor weather, police said.
