A landslide in south-western China early Friday killed at least 32 people and left dozens missing, officials said, dpa reported.
The death toll reached 32 as rescue workers sifted through the debris, the local authorities of Zhenxiong county in Yunnan province said on its website.
The search was continuing for less than 10 people still missing.
The landslide destroyed 14 houses and damaged another two in Gaopo village, 550 kilometres north-east of the provincial capital, Kunming, county police said.
It occurred at 8:20 am (0200 GMT), the official Xinhua news agency reported.
