Seven people were injured and at least 50 feared trapped as a four-storey residential building collapsed in the western Indian city of Mumbai early Friday, a municipal official said, dpa reported.
The building came down early in the morning when most of the residents were still asleep, an official at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation disaster control unit said.
The building was a residential complex for the corporation's staff. More than 15 firefighters, police and disaster management personnel were carrying out search-and-rescue operations.
