Ingushetia minister 'shot dead'

The construction minister of the volatile Russian republic of Ingushetia has been murdered, Russian news agencies report.

Ruslan Amerkhanov was shot dead in his office in the city of Magas, local officials told Itar-Tass news agency.

Attacks on government officials have become more common in the troubled North Caucasus republic, reported BBC.

In June, Ingushetia's President Yunus-Bek Yevkurov was seriously wounded in an assassination attempt.
