Russian President Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Uzbek President Islam Karimov on the 65-th anniversary of Victory.
"Our peoples fought together against the fascist invaders. They showed unprecedented resilience and courage," the message said.
"We will always remember and honor the great feat of veterans, who did not spare themselves for the sake of victory over the enemy," the message said.
