In order to regulate migration, an invitation requirement may be introduced for CIS nationals, Interfax quoted head of the Federal Migration Service, Konstantin Romodanovsky as saying.
"The current visa regime is no longer relevant," Romodanovsky told reporters, when asked whether it is necessary to introduce a visa regime with CIS countries.
"An invitation policy may be considered for countries that send large amount of migrants to Russia, but more work needs to be done on the mater, as it is not a simple one. We will meditate on the subject," Romodanovskiy said .
