It is unlikely possible to say that the majority of Syria's population does not support its leader Bashar Assad, Press Attache for Russian President, Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday at a briefing for journalists during the G20 summit, RIA Novosti reported.
"Unequivocally saying that the majority of the population does not support the government is hardly possible. Neither London, nor Washington, nor Moscow can evaluate it, because we do not have enough data," Peskov said.
He went on to add that "claiming that the government (of Syria) used gas against the civilian population is wrong".
