At least three people were killed and another two injured on Wednesday in another U.S. drone strike in northwest Pakistan's tribal area, local TV channels reported.
The private Geo News said a U.S. unmanned plane Wednesday morning fired two rockets on a house located in Patti Tol Khel area near Miranshah, the main town of North Waziristan Agency near the Afghan border, Xinhua reported.
It was the third drone attack on the region in a week as U.S has frequently been targeting militants hideouts in the terrain Pakistan-Afghanistan border, where America believes to be a bastion of Al-Qaeda top leaders and Taliban militants. Several leaders of Al-Qaeda fighters and Pakistani Taliban have been killed there.
The American authorities stepped up drone attacks after a Yemeni dual intelligence agent blew up himself in a CIA's base in Afghanistan that killed several U.S. officials. Pakistan officials said that drone attacks have proved counter-productive and want the Americans to stop it.
