US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was to continue her seven-nation tour of Africa with a visit to Malawi on Sunday, DPA reported.
There, the top US diplomat is to meet President Joyce Banda to discuss economic and political governance and reform.
Clinton's trip, which began on July 31, has so far taken her to Uganda, Senegal, Kenya and the world's newest country, South Sudan.
She also held talks Saturday in Nairobi with Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed and signatories to the country's ambitious roadmap to constitutional democracy.
From Malawi, Clinton will continue her journey to South Africa, where she is to meet former president Nelson Mandela and participate in bilateral talks on shared challenges in Africa and around the world.
Her final stop will be Ghana, where Clinton is to attend the funeral of late president John Atta Mills. Her trip is scheduled to end on August 10.
