Students protesting over the current regime have gathered in front of the central corps of Yerevan State University. They are chanting slogans 'All rise!', 'Long live justice!' 'Long live strike!', 1in.am wrote.

The university vice-rector Ruben Markosyan asked the students to go back to their classes and refrained from giving any comments. At present about 500 students gathered at the YSU are refusing to attend classes until their demands are met.

There are a large number of police officers at the scene recording the events on cameras.

Presidential elections were held in Armenia on Feb.18. Incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan won the presidential elections with 58.64 per cent of the vote. The First Foreign Minister of Armenia Raffi Hovannisian ranked second winning 36.75 per cent, while former Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan ranked third after receiving 2.15 per cent of the vote.
