Within three years the prices in Armenia rose by 18.8 percent, 1in.am website reported with the reference to Zhoghovurd newspaper.
According to the report on 'The consumer price index in Armenia' published by the National Statistical Service of Armenia, as compared with 2010, in 2013 the prices increased by 18.8 percent. Especially significant was the increase in food prices - by 21.7 percent, clothing and footwear - 22.2 percent, medical care and pharmaceuticals - 28.8 percent. But as compared with 2012 the prices increased by 5.8 percent in 2013.
"We admit that it is alarming figures," the newspaper said.
