The Russian Cabinet of Ministers has approved an agreement on development of military-technical cooperation with Armenia and decided to submit it to the country's president for ratification, the RIA Novosti reported on Feb. 28 citing the government website.

'The agreement provides for the establishment of a favourable interaction between the parties in the areas of development, production, operation and maintenance, modernisation, service term extension and the disposal of weapons and military equipment', according to the report.

In December, Armenia's parliament decided to ratify the agreement signed in the summer for development of military-technical cooperation with the Russian Federation.
