A volume of foreign investments in Armenia sharply decreased. Armenian Zhoghovurd newspaper revealed that the country received foreign direct investments worth $4.692 million in 2013, which is 35.3 percent less than in the previous year, website tert.am. reported on April 1.

It should be stressed that in 2013, the volume of investment indicators were the lowest of all the years of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan's activity. Even, figures recorded during the global financial crisis were not this bad. In 2009, the volume of investments decreased by 25.8 percent.

It should be stressed that Russia decreased the volume of its investments to Armenia by 33.6 percent, France by 57 percent, Germany by 54 percent and the U.S by 34.6 percent," according to the newspaper.
