Armenian president to visit U.S.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will embark on a working visit to the U.S. on Sept. 23, Novosti-Armenia news agency reported citing his press service.

In New York, Sargsyan will attend the 69th Session of the UN General Assembly, and make a speech there.

There he will also meet with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland, and the heads of several states.

During his visit, Sargsyan will also deliver a speech at the Columbia University, and meet with leading U.S. experts in international relations and the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations (NECO) Chairman Nasser Kazeminy.

In New York, he will attend the opening of the ArmTech Congress'14, the 7th annual high-tech industry business forum and conference, as well as meet with representatives of the Armenian community in the U.S.
