Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec.21 / Trend, N. Kirtskhalia /

Another meeting in Dvani within the incident prevention and response mechanism will be held on Dec.21.

As the EU Monitoring Mission told Trend, the 17th meeting will be attended by representatives of the Georgian, Russian parties, official Tskhinvali, as well as representatives from the EU and the OSCE.

The meeting participants will review the situation on the administrative border or near it. The parties will discuss details of security measures for people working in agriculture in the surrounding areas, as well as methods to promote freedom of movement.

Participants will also discuss humanitarian issues, such as the implementation of projects to supply water and gas to the region.

Military actions were launched in the Georgian territory, South Ossetia on Aug.8 in 2008. Later the Russian troops occupied the Tskhinvali city and drove the Georgian military back. Russia recognized the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in late August. In response, Tbilisi broke off diplomatic relations with Moscow and announced two unrecognized republics as the occupied territories.
