The Government's Office of Georgia, chaired by Vice Prime Minister Giorgi Baramidze held a meeting of the State Commission for the integration of Georgia into NATO on Wednesday.

The program was finally approved at today's meeting after reviewing the draft of annual national program of 2012 at the committee meeting on policy and partnership within the framework of NATO-Georgia Commission, which was held in Brussels. It contains a plan of reforms in political, economic, defense, legal, educational and other spheres, and is the result of many months of coordinated inter-agency work.

The representatives of all state agencies included in the process of implementation of the program participated in the work of state commission.

Annual National Program (ANP), along with the NATO-Georgia Commission, is the main instrument of Georgia's integration into NATO. Annual national programs of 2009, 2010, and 2011 were positively evaluated by NATO. The fourth phase of the program will be presented in 2012.
