Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze and Australia's Prime Minister's Special Envoy to Eastern Europe, the Balkans and the Caucasus, Russell Trood discussed issues of cooperation and support in multilateral formats and international organizations in Tbilisi.

As Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend, the Australian side reiterated its support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The sides also discussed bilateral cooperation, standing for intensified economic relations, in which both countries are interested.

"We have noted the positive dynamics in our relations at the political level and called for the gradual development of economic relations, as it promises great prospects for us," Vashadze said after the meeting.

After the meeting a ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Georgian-Australian diplomatic relations was held.
