U.S. Republican Senator Richard Lugar will arrive on a visit to Georgia on Aug.12. As U.S. Embassy in Georgia told Trend, Lugar will be accompanied by Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs, Andrew C. Weber.
American guests will arrive in Georgia in connection with naming the Central Reference Laboratory of Public Health in honor of Richard Lugar. The Republican Senator is honored for his contribution to the reduction of nuclear, chemical and biological threats in the world.
In addition, Richard Lugar and Andrew Weber will attend ceremony of laying the foundation of an administrative building of the National Center for Disease Control of Georgia.
Offices of the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Walter Reed Army Institute of Research of the U.S. will be located in this building.
