Everything that is being done for democracy in Georgia is important, U.S Deputy Secretary of State Philip Gordon told media after a meeting with Speaker of the Georgian Parliament David Usupashvili today.

Everything that is being done for democracy in Georgia is important, U.S Deputy Secretary of State Philip Gordon told media after a meeting with Speaker of the Georgian Parliament David Usupashvili today.

"I am pleased that democratic transformation is still underway in a difficult and critical situation in Georgia," he said. "I am sure that the U.S. will continue supporting Georgia in the future."

Gordon has recently made a three-day visit to Georgia. He has met with Speaker of the Parliament. The meetings are planned to be held with Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, leader of the parliamentary minority David Bakradze and Security Council Secretary Giga Bokeria.
