On Wednesday Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili met with local government representatives in his residence in Zugdidi (Samegrelo region, Western Georgia). Prior to that, he visited Anaklia and Lazika, where he inspected the frozen construction work, expressing discontent in this regard.

In Saakashvili's words, the suspension of construction work in Anaklia and Lazika lead to loss of 6700 jobs.

"In Anaklia cows are grazing in all construction sites, although, previously they were fenced. The stagnation process has again begun. Channels should be brushed. The municipal council administration was set under pressure due to the fact that they allocated funds to Anaklia. I have done this, I was going to do it and I will do it, no matter what they say, " Saakashvili said.

In turn, the head of the municipal council and the head of Zugdidi administration told journalists that they have not been pressurized.

The president also visited a house of justice being built in Zugdidi, stating that the construction has to be continued.
