Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 21 / Trend N.Kirtskhalia /

A restored monument to the 'leader of all nations' will be erected in the village of Zemo Alvani , in the Georgian Akhmet District on December 21, the birthday of Joseph Stalin. As the locals stated, they will festively mark this date and come to honour the memory of 'the great son of Georgia' at noon.

A memorial to the victims of World War II will be opened along with the monument.
It should be noted that the monument of Stalin was removed on June 16, 2011. It was restored after the victory of Georgian Dream opposition coalition in the parliamentary elections.

It is noteworthy that numerous monuments to Stalin were dismantled throughout Georgia, including in his home town of Gori, during the time of the Georgian National Movement of Mikheil Saakashvili in office.
