Tbilisi will host the second meeting of informal dialogue "Eastern Partnership" on Feb.12-13.

As Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend, from Georgian side the event will be attended by Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze and Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili. Also the meeting will be attended by Georgian State Minister for Integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures, Alexi Petriashvili

From the EU side the meeting will be attended by the European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, Štefan Füle, Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service, Helga Schmid and Vice-President of the European Commission, European Commissioner for Transport Siim Kallas.

To participate in the dialogue, high-level delegations of the countries involved in the initiative will visit Georgia. The participants will discuss the further development of the "Eastern Partnership", as well as sectoral dialogue, in particular in the transport sector.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the event is also important for the fact that it is held by the third summit of the "Eastern Partnership" scheduled for Feb.28-29 in Vilnius, and makes it possible to better prepare for the summit. Informal dialogue format was approved on April 17, 2012, at the initiative of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission Catherine Ashton and EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle. The first meeting was held in Chisinau on June 5, 2012.
