Georgian PM to decide whether to participate in NSC meeting after timing it

In accordance with the Law on the National Security Council, its meeting is convened by the President. Accordingly, as noted in a statement of the press service of the Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili released on Monday, it is up to President to make a decision on the exact time of the meeting.

In accordance with the Law on the National Security Council, its meeting is convened by the President. Accordingly, as noted in a statement of the press service of the Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili released on Monday, it is up to President to make a decision on the exact time of the meeting.

The premier is going to be in Tbilisi on Monday and Tuesday, and only after he receives information about the exact time of the meeting of the Council he can decide whether to participate in it.

On Sunday Saakashvili announced the convocation of the second meeting of the National Security Council, however, proposed to define its exact time after consultation with the Administration of the Prime Minister on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Last week the President of Georgia convened the first meeting of the National Security Council after a seven-month hiatus. Ivanishvili did not take part in it, saying he was too late informed of the date of the meeting.
