Georgia is facing a great challenge in terms of children's rights, Georgia's Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said at a conference organised by UNICEF on Tuesday.

According to him, the conference is aimed at discussing the care and development of children for without it there is no future for humanity.

"Investment in the future is the theme of today's event. We understand that all children should have the opportunity for development in the country. We want to have a healthy and educated generation and have to start caring now, so that when the new generation grows up, we could proudly say that we are the people who have invested in the future of the country," the prime minister said.

According to him, no one can make a difference in one day, but it is necessary to start taking care of it today. According to Ivanishvili, the Georgian government is committed to ensuring that all children are successful, despite financial restrictions with their families.
