An officer died on Georgia's military polygon in Vaziani near Tbilisi while testing a weapon.
According to Georgia's Defense Ministry, Major Othello Gulbiani was injured during a weapon testing, after which he was immediately rushed to hospital.
According to the report, despite all efforts of the doctors, all efforts to save Gulbiani failed.
Georgia's Defense Ministry didn't specify, during what kind of weapon testing the officer, who had been serving in Georgia's army since 1992 died.
The Ministry of Defense has expressed condolences to the friends and family of the victim.
