A soldier of the 20th Brigade Georgian Defence Ministry died in the city of Telavi, Georgian Defence Ministry reported.
Private Arkady Imerlishvili was on leave and had to return back to the unit on Wednesday.
His fellow servicemen went to his house to find out what was happening, and found him dead there. At the moment an inquest is being held. The case is conducted by Georgia's Interior Ministry.
According to preliminary information, the private Imerlishvili committed suicide.
Arkady Imerlishvili was serving in the military under contract since 2012. He was the liaison of the 203rd battalion.
Georgian Defence Ministry expressed its deep regret with regard to the incident and condolences to the family of the late.
