As part of the investigation into the death of former Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania exhumation of his body is not being excluded.

"New facts clearly indicate that Zurab Zhvania was murdered and not gassed," the Prime Minister's brother Giorgi Zhvania told TV-3 TV on Thursday.

According to him, the investigation is being conducted at the final stage and will soon be completed.

Re-examination of evidence is being conducted, but if the picture of what happened is not restored, the final decision will be the exhumation of bodies, Rashur Yusupov , the father of Raul Yusupov, whose body was found near the body of Zhvania in an apartment in Tbilisi, said in his turn.

According to him, the case is already half solved and most of the witnesses have been interrogated repeatedly. Yusupov did not exclude changing the qualification of the case from accident to murder.

"There was dirt on my son's clothes that could not have got there if he was in the apartment," Yusupov said.

Officially, the prosecutor's office will not comment on statements by relatives of Zurab Zhvania and Raul Yusupov.

Zurab Zhvania was found dead in Tbilisi at night on February 3, 2005, together with the Deputy Governor of Kvemo Kartli (eastern Georgia) Raul Yusupov in an apartment in Tbilisi. According to the official version of the investigation, the cause of death was a tragic accident relating to carbon monoxide poisoning.
