The discussion on the issue of moving the parliament to Tbilisi will start in a committee of the Georgian parliament from Thursday.

As is known, the minority is against this amendment to the Constitution.

According to a majority MP, Tina Khidasheli, moving parliament to Kutaisi created many problems not only in the supreme legislative, but also in executive power. Therefore, it is necessary to move it back to Tbilisi.

"It was absolutely absurd to move parliament to Kutaisi, when the government remains in the capital. Parliament is simply bound hand and foot in their actions as our contact with the executive power was interrupted.

"I think it is necessary to return parliament to Tbilisi and give it an opportunity to function normally. However, the statements of the minority are not grounded since local development cannot determine only one concrete building located in one place. This is such a self-evident truth that I think there is no need to make any argument," Tina Khidasheli said.
