Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvilli pardoned former Defense Minister of Georgia Bacho Akhalaia, head of presidential administration Andro Barnov said on Sunday.
According to him, a pardon has already been signed.
It should be noted, that Mikhail Saakashvilli is not in Georgia. He is yet to return from Europe, where he went after presidential elections, the press service of the President told Trend.
According to the press service, he is in talks with European leaders.
"The appeal for the pardon wasn't sent to the president by Akhalaia himself, but his family", - the lawyer of ex-minister said.
