Oil companies in Georgia decreased their petrol and diesel fuel prices during the New Year holidays. In particular, Lukoil Georgia reduced its retail petrol and diesel fuel prices by 5-10 tetri (1 lari = $0.58) since Jan. 5.
This means the cost of one litre of 'euro regular' petrol was 1.97 lari which is five tetri less than the previous price. The cost of one litre of 'super euro' petrol was 2.22 lari, a five tetri decrease, 'premium avant-garde' - 2.12 lari, a 10 tetri decrease and the cost of one litre of diesel fuel was 2.17 lari, a five tetri decrease.
Earlier, the Sun Petroleum Georgia Company reduced the prices on some brands of petrol and diesel fuel in the country. In particular, the cost of one litre of 'euro regular' petrol was 2.02 lari, a five tetri decrease and one litre of diesel fuel - 2.04 lari, a five tetri decrease.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) also reduced the prices on 'euro regular' petrol and 'energy' diesel by five tetri in Georgia.
