Georgian carriers' transit through Turkey becomes chargeable with new requirements effective Feb. 1.

"In line with a note from the Turkish Embassy we announce that starting from February 1, 2014, a tax of $113 will be set for vehicles with Georgian number signs, conducting transit to a third country, in accordance with the decision of Turkish Transport, Maritime and Communication Ministry," according to the website of the Land Transport Agency of Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
