A special delegation of the Council of Europe will possibly arrive in Georgia.

After a meeting with representatives of the European People's Party, a member of the National Movement of Georgia Irma Nadirashvili said that a political group of the European People's Party has decided to demand sending a delegation of the Presidential Committee of the Council of Europe to Georgia at the PACE session on Jan.29.

The purpose of the visit is to study the reasons of suspension of powers of the mayor of a city with half a million population, according to Nadirashvili.

The meeting of the European People's Party was held in Strasbourg. Former Mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava also attended this meeting.
