Georgian prosecutor general's office has launched an investigation with respect to the video on the internet featuring former Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili.
"As part of this investigation the prosecutor general's office will examine the legality of a special operation held in Mukhrovani, as a result of which Giorgi Krialashvili was killed," according to a message from prosecutor general's office.
Former colonels Koba Otanadze, Levan Amiridze and Giorgi Krialashvili were detained by Georgia's former authorities on suspicion of organizing a mutiny at the Mukhrovani tank base, which ended in military actions in Tbilisi's suburbs.
On May 20, 2009, the former military men started shooting during the arrest. Following this the police fired back.
Giorgi Krialashvili was killed, Koba Otanadze and Levan Amiridze who were wounded, were taken to a hospital, where they underwent surgery.
A video appeared on YouTube yesterday. The video lasting about four minutes featured representatives of the former Georgian government and a group of soldiers.
The video appears to be shot during a military event, similar to a military training or a special operation and its organizers are discussing its plan.
Mukhrovani firing ground is mentioned in the video. The video features former Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili, former head of the Constitutional Security Department David Akhalaia, and former chief of the Special Operative Department Irakli Kodua.
"I need two people, two corpses, bring me these two bodies," Merabishvili is seen as saying in the video.
