The presentation of the non-governmental organization of Georgia's former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili called "Citizen" was held on Feb.4 in Tbilisi.

"I have always wished to be a free citizen of a free country. Therefore I came into politics and this also caused my leaving politics. Today, I intend to control the authorities from the civil sector and I call on the whole civil sector of the country for this," Ivanishvili said at the presentation.

The former prime minister believes that civil liability is the most important issue. The created organization will work to determine what the civil sector demands of the government, Ivanishvili said.

All this will be aimed at ensuring high public control over the government's work, according to the former prime minister.

The NGO "Citizen" also intends to conduct research on the objectivity of the media. These studies will help "to improve the qualification and objectivity" of the media, Ivanishvili said.

The former prime minister stressed that the economy will be the main object of attention of his organization.

"We must create an environment where every citizen will be able to feed himself and will be able to choose a job to his liking," the former prime minister said.

Ivanishvili stressed that he currently works on ensuring growth in the number of jobs in the country.
