The armored helmets and body armor produced by the Delta Scientific and Technical Center were presented to special operations forces in Vashkijvari on Feb. 10.
Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasania, chairman of the parliamentary committee on defense and security Irakli Sesiashvili, members of the Georgian government and military attaches of foreign countries attended the presentation.
The military equipment produced in Georgia was tested at a special shooting range after the presentation.
The armor produced by Delta meets the requirements of the Georgian Armed Forces and NATO standards, director of the Delta Scientific and Technical Center, Ucha Dzodzuashvili said. It will be used for protection during military operations and special operations.
The weight of the armored helmets is 1,200-1,500 grams, while the weight of the body armors is 3,200 grams.
