Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Alasania informed President Margvelashvili on February 20 that the government had decided to include a company of the Georgian armed forces in the EU operation in the Central African Republic.
The minister appealed to the president with a request to initiate the issue in Parliament in accordance with the constitution.
Secretary of the State Security Council Irina Imerlishvili, head of the General Staff Vakhtang Kapanadze and the head of the presidential administration Lasha Abashidze also attended the meeting.
