"Improving qualification in the field of international relations" project was presented at the Georgian Foreign Ministry on March 7.

The Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Economy, the office of State Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Foreign Ministry's Training Center are the main beneficiaries of the project.

The purpose of the project is to facilitate the process of Georgia's European integration by strengthening three aspects of institutional development, the foreign ministry said.

Improving the qualification of Georgian diplomats and public servants working in international relations, the development of a training center, its staff and trainers, curriculum creation and promotion of training centers are among them.

The representatives of various ministries and the European Union, including Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze attended the presentation.

The project is being implemented by a consortium led by the Estonian School of Diplomacy, the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies and the College of Europe (Bruges).

The EU finances a two-year project.
