Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Giorgi Kvirikashvili within the framework of his visit to Spain met Monday with representatives of almost 250 largest Spanish companies and briefed them about the investment potential of Georgia.

The meeting was also attended by Foreign Minister of Spain Jose Manuel Garcia Margalio and Georgian Ambassador to Spain Zurab Pololikashvili.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili spoke about the investment environment in Georgia and answered questions of businessmen. He told them about the spheres of economy that are of a particular interest for the representatives of Spanish business community. In particular, he described the situation in the sphere of finance, industry, tourism, transport and logistics, as well as the possibilities of cooperation in these areas.

"Economic cooperation with Spain, as one of the most important political partners, is of great importance. We told them about the opportunities that Georgian economy provides, and those areas that are priorities for us. I believe that this is a very important visit because trade with Spain is growing. Volume of investments from Spain is very small, and we want to change that", Kvirikashvili said.
