There is a true strategic cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey, Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said commenting on the results of the trilateral summit between Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian presidents in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.
"The summit was held in a warm atmosphere. The Ministry of Economy, as the supervising body over the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan project, gave a presentation and report on the process of implementation of the project. Our colleagues from Turkey and Azerbaijan made their presentations. It is important once more to stress that these two countries are in strategic partnership and cooperation with us. Today, the projects that we carry out in the spheres of transport, energy and trade were underscored. Azerbaijan and Turkey are the largest partners of Georgia," Kvirikashvili said.
The issue related to the construction of a refinery wasn't discussed at the summit, but there is great interest in construction of this refinery and the ministry is considering the related proposals, according to the minister.
