Georgia's First Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani has met with the Deputy Director General of the International Organization for Migration, Laura Thompson.

She has visited Tbilisi at the invitation of Georgia's state minister for diaspora affairs.

The two sides discussed the 20-year operation of the International Organization for Migration in Georgia, the current projects and the prospects for the future cooperation, Georgia's Foreign Ministry said on May 28.

They mainly focused on the projects implemented with the organization's support.

The construction of a center for the migrants from the Asian and African countries in Tbilisi is among such projects. It is planned to complete the construction of the center in August.

Zalkaliani thanked the International Organization for Migration for its support and assistance.
