Georgian First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Tengiz Shergelashvili met with EU representatives in the country.

The regional development program was discussed and the details of its implementation were specified at the meeting, the Georgian Regional Development and Infrastructure Ministry told Trend.

The ministry stressed that the work over Georgia's regional development program is under completion. At present, the details of its implementation are being specified.

After the relevant work is over, the project will be submitted to Georgia's regional development committee. If the project is approved, it will be submitted for the government's approval.

It was stressed at the meeting that the EU will render financial assistance in the amount of 30 million euros for the implementation of the country's regional development program.
