The second round of the municipal elections will be held on July 12 in eight self-governing cities and 13 municipalities of Georgia, the country's Central Election Commission (CEC) said on July 8.

Around 1,715,514 voters have been registered in these self-governing cities and municipalities.

The printing of ballots has already begun, according to the CEC. A total of 1,605,000 ballots will be printed. Some 1,191,450 of them will be used for electing mayors and 413,550 for electing the heads of provincial municipal district.

"Moreover, we have started issuing voter cards, which show the polling station where the voter must vote. The voters, who are not able to come to the polling station for health reasons or other reasons, should contact the corresponding polling station before 18:00, July 9. For more information, please contact the contact center of CEC - 2 51 00 51," the commission said.

The spokesperson of Georgian Central Election Commission, Yekaterina Azarashvili said that only the observers and media representatives, registered for the elections held on June 15, can monitor the second round.
