Georgian Deputy Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection Irakli Nozadze is being interrogated by the anticorruption agency of Georgia's Interior Ministry.

The Interior Ministry's press service said on July 16 that the senior official is being questioned in connection with the activities of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection.

"Irakli Nozadze is being interrogated. The investigation is being conducted in connection with the ministry's activities, in particular with regard to the abuse of power by the ministry's employees," the Interior Ministry's press service said.
