Georgia is ready to join NATO right now, the country's Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze said on August 1.
She expressed regret that the members of the alliance cannot agree on the way of Georgia's integration into NATO.
"The key issue of today's meeting of Georgia's National Security Council is the preparatory work for NATO's Wales summit. Georgian government under the leadership of prime minister has made every effort. We are ready to join NATO right now," Panjikidze stressed.
The meeting of Georgia's National Security Council was held on August 1 under the leadership of the country's President Giorgi Margvelashvili.
